DISTRACTION Is a THIEF- Part 2 of 3 ATTENTION
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Distraction doesn’t usually kick the door down and wreck your goals in one dramatic moment. It slips in as “just five minutes,” then turns into thirty, then two hours, then an entire evening, until your life feels full but your progress feels thin
Distraction Masks Procrastination
SPEAKER_00Distraction is procrastination in disguise. This is a three part episode.
Attention Determines Your Direction
SPEAKER_00Part two Attention is your power. Your attention is one of the most valuable things you own. Where your attention goes, your time falls. Where your time goes, your life falls. That means whatever controls your attention can eventually control your direction.
Minutes Lost Become A Pattern
SPEAKER_00Distraction does not need to destroy your dream in one big moment. It only needs to still a few minutes at a time. Five minutes become thirty. Thirty minutes become two hours. Two hours becomes an entire evening, and that one evening becomes a pattern. And that pattern becomes a life where you're always busy but never building.
Focus Is Real Power
SPEAKER_00You must stop treating your attention like it has no value. Your attention is power. Your focus is power. Your ability to stay committed to one important task is power. The world is constantly fighting for your eyes, your mind, your clicks, your reaction, and your time. But your goals are fighting for your future. You must decide which one wins.
Discipline Sets Boundaries
SPEAKER_00Discipline means telling distractions you do not have permission to interrupt what I'm building. That may mean placing your phone in another room. It may mean saying no to people who constantly waste your time. It may mean creating a schedule and respecting it. It may mean working in silence. It may mean becoming available for anything that does not support your purpose. You do not have to respond to everything. You do not have to watch everything. You do not have to know everything happening everywhere.
Disconnect To Reconnect
SPEAKER_00Sometimes the most powerful move you can make is to disconnect from the noise so you can reconnect with your goal. Protect your attention like you protect your money, because wasted money can sometimes be earned again. Wasted time cannot. Your goal needs your complete presence, not half your attention, not whenever urgency is left after hours of scrolling, not the tired version of you at the end of the day.
Give Your Best Attention
SPEAKER_00Give your best attention to what can build your best life. You cannot become successful while constantly allowing distractions to lead your schedule. Take back control. Choose what deserves your focus. And remember, your attention is your power. Stop giving it away for free. Make
