WHAT YOU THINK YOU BECOME
Have you ever wondered why you keep starting over, creating new plans, but never quite reaching your destination? The answer lies not in some mystical secret, but in the power of your thoughts.
Life is waiting for you each day and you have to prepare for each challenge along the way towards success. It's not simple, but it can be done. Welcome to my Common Sense Motivation episodes. I'm Chris, fantastic Powell. What you think you become. There's no magic in that statement. It's not some mystical phrase passed down from the stars. It's truth, raw, simple and powerful. What you think you become.
Speaker 1:You've heard it before, maybe too many times, but let's break it down for real this time. It's easy to walk around looking motivated, easy to post the quotes, smile in public, talk a big game. But let me tell you something what's going on inside your mind? That's the real story. That's what's creating your life, piece by piece. I'm not talking about money. Money is just a byproduct. It shows up when value is given through a service, a product or creating a solution. That's been the rule of life for thousands of years. That's been the rule of life for thousands of years. What I'm talking about is the thinking, the mindset, the quiet, the daily thoughts that no one sees. Those are the building blocks of who you're becoming. You don't rise to the level of your dreams, you rise to the level of your habits and habits. That's created by thought, repeated thoughts, dominant thoughts over and over. But here's the problem Too many are chasing their goals based on feelings, and feelings are unpredictable. Emotions are inconsistent, and if you keep shifting direction every time you feel tired, scared, doubtful or uncomfortable, you'll never make it to your destination. You'll keep starting over, you'll keep rewriting the plan and you'll keep wondering what's wrong with me? Nothing is wrong with you. You've just been following the wrong compass. Let me give it to you straight your actions, your words, your attitude, your discipline, your character they all follow your thoughts. If your thoughts are weak, scattered and lazy, your life will reflect that. If your thoughts are clear, focused, persistent, your life will reflect that too. This isn't about wishing. This isn't about hoping. It's about thinking with intent, consistency, until it becomes who you are. You don't get what you want, you get what you are. So if you want more, start thinking stronger. If you want better, start feeding your mind better. And if you're tired of starting over, then it's time to change what's playing in your head every single day, because what you think you do become. That's not just a quote, that's your future.
Speaker 1:Here's a story the broken compass. There was a young man named Ted, ambitious, smart, full of ideas. Every few weeks he had a new dream, a new business, a new strategy, a new vision for success. But there was a problem he never finished anything. One day an old mentor watched him walk into the same cafe they met for years. Still frustrated, still trying to figure things out, ted sat down and sighed I don't know why I'm not where I want to be. I've tried so many things.
Speaker 1:The mentor didn't say a word. He pulled out a small worn-out compass from his pocket and set it on the table. Ted raised his eyebrows. What's that? The old man smiled. This compass used to guide my father through forests, storms, even war. But look at it now, ted leaned in. The needle spun in circles, never landing. It's broken, ted said Exactly.
Speaker 1:The mentor replied it's like your mind, full of direction, changes, full of emotions, full of doubt, and just like this compass you've been spinning in place, you'll never get where you want to go until you fix it first. He pointed to Ted's head. Stop following your feelings, start following your thinking, because your mind, when steady, is your true guide. From that day forward, ted made a decision no more new dreams, no more emotional detours. He picked one direction, one goal, and every day. No matter how he felt, he walked in that direction. And guess what? He arrived Not by luck, not by magic, but by mindset. So if you want to change your life, then focus on changing your mind. Make it happen. I'm Chris Fantastic Powell.
